So its a palm tree decorated like a christmas pine, with deep forest green feathery fronds and round ornament balls in red, yellow and blue hanging from looping lime-green garland lines. The contrast between the dark tropical fronds and the cartoon-bright ornament colours is what makes the whole thing work. Down at the base three wrapped gift boxes in red with yellow ribbon sit in a pile on a grass mound, and a gold starburst star tops everything off.
Six colors, 5 color changes, and the largest size at just under 7.5 inches hits 26,932 stitches. Smallest is 3.51 inches at 9,918, which works well on a stocking panel or a pocket. One customer ordered a whole batch of tote bags with the 5-inch version back in last December and said they sold out at a beach town craft fair that first weekend. Didnt suprised me at all, theres nothing else quite like it for the coastal christmas crowd. But Stitch onto a firm woven before you go near knits, the ornament balls go oval on stretchy fabric at smaller sizes.
Hoop with a medium-weight cutaway since the frond fill is directional and dense. Check your thread tension before the garland loop sections or they can look pinched. Use a fresh needle on the large size, 26,000 stitches on dense fill is a lot of work and a worn needle will show.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Coastal and beach town holiday tote bagsThe 5-inch size sits cleanly on a canvas tote front panel with room for text above or below
- Christmas stockings with a tropical theme for Florida and Hawaii familiesStandard stocking panels work at 4-5 inches, the gift box base detail reads well at that scale
- Holiday throw pillow covers for beach housesA 6-7 inch version fills a 16-inch pillow cover front without needing a border design
- Tropical Christmas shirts for December vacationsThe bright ornament colors pop on white or cream cotton shirts even at smaller sizes
- Gift bags and fabric pouches for beach-themed holiday marketsPlace at 4 inches on a flat fabric gift bag front for a quick handmade holiday look
- Baby christmas onesies for warm-weather familiesthe chest-size 3.5 fits a standard onesie chest panel and keeps detail in the star and gifts
- Festive aprons for holiday gatherings in sunny statesApron chest placement works at 5-6 inches, the vertical palm shape fits the panel naturally

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
