The penguin is front and center, face squished with concentration, waddling forward with both flippers wrapped around a stack of wrapped gift boxes. Theres a red Santa hat sitting slightly sideways on its head and a little white pom on top that looks like it might fall off any second. Its honestly one of the more charming characters Ive put together this season.
Gift boxes are stacked up in its arms in green, red, yellow and blue with proper ribbon bows on each one. The penguin body itself runs satin stitch across black and white panels, with that rounded chubby belly shape that makes it look like it ate too many christmas biscuits. Eleven colours total across the whole design and the density sits around 1062 stitches per square inch so theres some real texture coming through on the larger sizes.
Five sizes run from 3.5 inches at top 7.5 wide, stitch counts going from about 23k on the small end up to nearly 55k on the biggest. Digitised in my usual software so the colour separations are clean and the register between the gift boxes and ribbon bows is tight. Alot of people order the 7-inch version for fleece blankets and it holds up really well on that fabric weight.
Back with mid-cutaway for anything going on a sweatshirt or fleece. On denim or canvas tote a firm cutaway does better because those fabrics pull a bit during hooping. Hoop tight so the belly satin stitches dont pucker. Pop the small size on a baby onesie in the november run-up to christmas and the big version on the gift bags themselves.
Had a customer last december use the 5-inch motif on christmas stockings for her whole family and she said the gift colours matched their wrapping paper almost exactly. Bug me on chat if something stitches funny.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

- Festive fleece blankets and throwsWorks on a cream or sage fleece throw and the penguin pops against that neutral background without fighting the fabric colour
- Holiday gift bags and tote bagsCentre it on a kraft shopper bag and youve got a gift bag that doubles as a keepsake people wont throw away
- Christmas stockings for kidsEmbroider on a hanging christmas stocking in red or green felt and use the smaller 3.5-inch size so it sits clean near the top
- Baby onesies for the holiday seasonPop the smallest size on a white baby onesie for a newborns first christmas gift that actually fits the gifting season
- School holiday fair items and giftsGreat for school craft fair items like zip pouches, mini totes and patches that sell well in november and early december

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
