Its basically a rainbow built out of Christmas bits. Three arched bands on a cream or white cotton base: widest on the outside in deep forest green, a brighter green inside that, then red at the core. Six colours total, density at 685 stitches per square inch. A single hanging bauble drops from the very centre, a round red ball with a white wavy stripe and a little cap, suspended on a thin vertical line.

Along the outer arch there's a winding string of fairy lights, a black cord that loops and curls, with small coloured bulbs at intervals, teal, red and yellow. Then all along both inner arches, small six-pointed stars in solid yellow, maybe 15 across the full arc. The whole shape sits flat with no base, just the arch floating in frame.

Only 4 sizes but the range is generous, smallest 3.5 by 3.4 inches, largest 7.5 by 5.65. Stitch the big one on a pillow front or tote bag panel and it fills the space without crowding the edges. Budget about an hour on a home machine for the 29,000 stitch maximum. Use a medium cutaway backing and hoop firm so the dense arcs dont drag the ground fabric.

I get asked about this one for kid's room decor a lot. Works really well on a blank canvas panel that you then frame, or on a quilted wall hanging. Ping the shop if a colour run overlaps an adjacent arch and Ill take a look at the file.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Framed canvas embroidery panels for nursery wallsStitch the large size on cotton canvas, stretch over a frame, and hang as seasonal wall art that comes down in January
  • Christmas throw pillow coversCentre the 7-inch on a cream pillow cover, the bold arches read clearly from across a sofa without needing anything else
  • Kids bedroom wall hangingsHoop cotton canvas and stitch the medium version for a framed piece above a child's bed, takes about an hour
  • Quilted lap blanket corner patchesAdd to the corner of a quilted lap blanket on medium-weight cotton with cutaway backing so the patch lays flat
  • Holiday tote bag frontsStitch the large version on a book club tote, the 7.5-inch arch fills the bag panel without crowding the seams
  • Advent calendar pocketsCut 24 small fabric pouches and stitch the smallest size on each for advent calendar pockets, bright colours help kids count
  • Table runner centre motifPlace the 5-inch at the centre of a linen table runner and leave the ends plain for a clean table setting
  • Personalised gift bags for childrenEmbroider on a small cotton drawstring bag for a child's gift wrap, the bag becomes part of the present

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
