Its a design where the density chart actually tells you something useful before you even hoop it. The largest size runs 74,511 stitches across a 7.51 by 7.25 inch frame, and with 17 colour changes packed in theres alot going on under the needle. The reindeer body is built from directional satin layers so the brown reads warm and rounded rather than flat. Wrapped around the antlers is a string of oversized Christmas bulbs in red, yellow, green and blue, each one treated as its own filled satin shape so they pop off the fabric.

I digitised this one with a density around 1,368 and put a full cutaway stabiliser call in the notes because the stitch mass on the torso is heavy enough to pull light woven fabric out of shape. One customer who used it on a canvas tote mentioned the underlay held the piece rock-solid even after washing, which was good to hear. Stitch a topping layer on any fluffy fleece or towelling or the tiny face details get buried in the pile. Skip anything under a medium weight stabiliser on knits.

But yes, 17 colours sounds scary and the sequencing groups them sensibly. The four light bulb colours run in back-to-back stops so you can swap threads quickly without hunting through your bobbin drawer. Use the 5 by 5 hoop for the 4.51 by 4.35 inch smallest size at 43,204 stitches. Add it to kids fleece pyjamas, a holiday stocking, or a small gift bag. Holler if theres any issue with the files and Ill sort it same day.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Children's Christmas pyjamasFleece pyjama chest panel for a kids christmas gift: the kawaii face and glowing bulbs are irresistible to children who see them on pyjama day morning
  • Holiday gift bagsFelt christmas stocking with heavy cutaway behind it: the density at 1,368 means this stocking survives years of being stuffed, pulled and rehung
  • Felt Christmas stockingsCanvas tote at 7.5 inches as a seasonal gift bag, the 17-colour light sequence makes it look like a finished illustration from a childrens book
  • Canvas tote bagsKids fleece hoodie back panel at 6 inches with cutaway underneath, the warm brown body and multicolour bulbs read as cheerful rather than chaotic from behind
  • Kids fleece hoodiesNursery Christmas pillow at 5 inches for a seasonal room display that small children respond to better than text-based designs
  • Nursery Christmas pillowFabric gift bag at 4.5 inches with a drawstring top, the design does the decorating work so the bag needs no other embellishment

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
