So the design is a big warm caramel-coloured heart, about 5 inches across at the medium size, and coming out of the top are two proper brown reindeer antlers, one on each side. Then you've got this string of Christmas lights looped all the way around the outside, those classic globe bulbs in yellow, red, teal and blue, the cord running in this natural loose arc. And right in the centre of the heart, theres a paw stamp pressed into it, same warm brown as the antlers.
Its a pet-meets-christmas mashup honestly, and it works really well together. The paw being centred inside the heart is the bit I love most. Doesnt try to do too much, its just a clean concept and the stitching backs it up. Five sizes in this file, smallest is just over 3.5 inches wide, largest hits 7.5 inches, and the stitch count goes from about 10,700 up to 30,000 depending on which size you run. Seven colour changes total. Hoop with a good cutaway stabiliser because the heart section is dense enough that tearaway wont hold it clean. Use a topping layer on fluffy fleece so that centred print stays sharp and defined.
A customer asked for a whole set of Christmas stockings last year using this design, one stocking per dog in the house. She stitched each one in a different coloured thread for the heart body so each dog had a unique version. And the antlers stayed that same brown across all of them. The light bulbs she swapped the colours around too so no two stockings looked the same. Thought that was a clever use of it.
Best on light fabrics. Stitch on cream fleece, white cotton canvas, or oatmeal linen for best contrast. Hit the stabiliser recommendation for the larger sizes especially, the dense sections near that centred stamp and the antler bases want something solid under them.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Christmas dog stockings and pet holiday giftsStitch on a red or cream stocking in the largest size for a bold centrepiece pet gift under the tree.
- Holiday sweatshirts for pet ownersWorks great on a navy or charcoal fleece sweatshirt for a subtle holiday-pet-lover statement.
- Baby onesies for a first Christmas with a pet themeThe smaller 3.5 inch size fits comfortably on infant onesie chest without distorting the fabric.
- Tote bags for dog mums at Christmas marketsPut it on a craft-fair tote in the medium size and it reads clean even at a distance.
- Throw pillow covers with a winter pet themePop it centered on a cream or oatmeal pillow front and the caramel heart sits beautifully against the fabric.
- Aprons and kitchen towels with a festive animal feelUse the smallest size on a tea towel corner or apron bib pocket for a cute seasonal kitchen touch.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
