Its the full christmas stocking scene packed into 1 design. The whole shape is deep forest green with a wavy white cuff along the top edge, and poking out of it you get a red and white candy cane, lil sprigs of holly, and a khaki-coloured tag that reads like a gift label without actually saying anything. The whole thing has that slightly retro hand-drawn cartoon feel, black outlines everywhere, nothing too refined.

I ran the 3.51 inch hoop run on a green canvas tote last year and it looked cracking. The stitch density sits at 614 so its a firm fill, the kind that doesnt go loopy on medium-weight cotton. Back it with a stabiliser that matches your fabric weight, anything stretchy needs a cutaway. 5 colour changes across the 6 threads: red, khaki, two greens, white, black. Smallest file is 4,663 stitches at 1.56 by 2.51 inches. Biggest runs 16,190 stitches at 4.05 by 6.51 inches.

industry software managed the fill direction on the stocking body, stitching the satin at a slight diagonal so it picks up light properly on woven fabrics. The white cuff uses a denser topping-friendly fill so it doesnt sink into terry or fleece. And the candy cane stripes are narrow satin columns, no applique needed.

Drop the 2.51 inch file on a babys red felt christmas outfit, or run the big 6.51 inch version straight onto a pre-made cotton stocking blank. A customer brought me a photo a few months back of this stitched on a white linen advent calendar pocket, it came out realy well.

Drop me a note when the download has any trouble and Ill get it sorted same day.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Pre-made christmas stocking blanks in felt or canvasThe 4.05 by 6.51 inch size fills a standard stocking blank cuff panel cleanly
  • Quilted advent calendar pocketsThe 1.56 by 2.51 inch mini size fits a single advent calendar pocket without overlap
  • Kids cotton holiday pyjama topsThe 3.51 inch height works on most chest placements for kids sizes 4 to 8
  • Green canvas tote bags for gift givingGreen-on-green reads clearly because the black outlines carry the contrast
  • Linen tea towels and kitchen accessoriesDense satin fill at 614 survives kitchen towel washing without pilling
  • White cotton baby bibs and onesiesThe white cuff fill is topping-friendly so it stays raised on fluffy bib fabric

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
