Christmas tree with a retro graphic quality you dont see in most designs. Wide flat branch tiers, filled with dark green satin stitch and a crosshatch density pattern running through. Bold and flat rather than realistic, the kind of christmas imagery youd see on a 1970s gift card. Just 4 colour stops: dark green, white, yellow, red. Its a quick stitch because of that.

Red star on top, its proportionally big and takes up a fair chunk of the upper section. Ornament balls dot the branch tiers. Garland of round bulbs hangs in a curve at the bottom either side. Ive been selling this one on kids pyjamas and christmas jumpers and it suits both well, the flat graphic style reads as deliberately retro rather than accidentally old-fashioned. People have been buying it for office Christmas parties too, where you want to look festive but dont want to go full tinsel. Id say its one of my most versatile christmas tree designs because the 4-color palette means it works on nearly any coloured base fabric without thread colors clashing. I get messages asking which base fabric looks best and honestly its difficult to pick a bad one with this design.

Pop it on a red or green sweatshirt center chest and it reads instantly as festive without needing anything else around it. Works on hessian or burlap too, the bold style suits rough texture. Skip tearaway on jersey knit, use a cutaway stabiliser instead, the density sits at 648 and it needs a firm base to stay flat after washing. the 7.5-in face works well on a tote bag front panel or a cushion cover. Dont go smaller than 3.5 inches if you want the garland detail at the bottom to stitch cleanly.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Christmas jumpers and holiday sweatshirtsCenter chest placement on a sweatshirt, the wide tree shape fills that space without needing text below it
  • Festive children's pyjamas and sleepwearThe bold graphic style works really well on kids' Christmas pyjamas, reads clearly at small sizes
  • Holiday tote bags and shopper bagsDark navy or forest green tote bags let the red star and yellow ornaments stand out sharply
  • Christmas cushion covers and home decorCushion covers in cream or natural linen let all four colors show clearly with good contrast
  • Seasonal hessian or burlap gift bagsHessian gift bags with this on the front look genuinely handmade and seasonal, not like a shop item

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
