Mocked up this hot-cocoa mug design after a customer asked for something cosy and christmas-themed that wasnt a tree or snowflake on its own. The mug body sits in chocolate brown satin, the foam top is cream fill with a soft edge, and the scarlet bow ties it together at the base. Side decorations, a snowflake, a holly sprig with red berries, a dusting of steam curls in grey, use the full 8-colour spread.

8 colours total: chocolate, cream, scarlet, forest green, white, gold, navy, grey. professional digitising software mapped through all the colour changes so the stitch order is clean, the satin transitions dont show gaps, and the density of 1,032 lays flat on canvas. 5 sizes from 2.23 x 3.5 inches to 4.76 x 7.5 inches, stitch range 15,643 to 36,856.

A customer bought the 4.76-inch version last month, she stitched it onto a kraft canvas pillow and said it looked like a cosy coffee shop poster, I didnt expect that reaction but it makes sense once you see the chocolate and cream together on natural canvas. That red ribbon at the base reads really strong against kraft too.

Use cutaway stabiliser on canvas pillow, the 8-colour density needs a solid base. Add water-soluble topping if youre running this on any kind of pile or terry fabric. Pick the 3-inch size for a mug cozy or bag charm. Skip tearaway for anything over 20,000 stitches. Message me send me the design number if you hit any issues and Ill get it fixed.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Kraft canvas throw pillow for a Christmas living roomHoop the 4.76-inch size on kraft canvas with heavy cutaway, the 1032 density sits flat without puckering natural canvas.
  • Mug cosy in black canvas or feltStitch the 2.23-inch size on a pre-cut felt mug cozy blank with cutaway, light enough to finish in one colour sequence.
  • Zip pouch front panel for a holiday gift bagRun the mid size on a zip pouch canvas panel before assembly, easier to hoop flat before sewing the pouch together.
  • Christmas apron bib accentStitch the chest 4-in on an apron bib with cutaway, the chocolate and cream combo reads well on tan or navy apron canvas.
  • hoop wall art piece for kitchen or coffee cornerMount the largest size in a 5x7 hoop on natural linen, frame it in a rustic wood frame for a kitchen display.
  • Sweatshirt chest print alternative for a christmas giftHoop a pre-made sweatshirt with tear-no-more stabiliser and run the chest 4-in on the chest, the scarlet bow draws the eye.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
