Two nutcracker soldiers standing side by side at attention. Tall black bearskin hats, bright red tunics with gold button rows down the front, white trousers with a clean centre crease, black boots planted flat. Symmetric composition, both figures mirror each other exactly, so the whole thing reads balanced whether you center it on a cushion or stagger it along a stocking border.
Six colours keep it clean. Red tunic, black hat, gold trim, white trousers, black boots and a cream skin tone for the face and hands. No gradients, no blending needed, just solid satin column fills with proper directional stitching so the tunic reads like fabric not a painted patch. Density sits at 939 which is firm but manageable. Biggest size is 38,494 stitches across the 7.5 by 5.5 inch footprint.
Gonna be honest, I digitised this one specifically for the stocking-cuff crowd after getting dozens of messages in november asking for a paired soldier design. Kinda the obvious gap in the nutcracker category. Email a note if you want a single-soldier version separated, Im happy to do that, but the two-soldier pair is what most people are buying. One school used em on their holiday concert program bags, which I thought was a kinda brilliant use.
Stitch on felt or velvet for stocking cuffs and use a firm cutaway stabiliser so the bearskin hat satin doesnt pull. Works on denim too if you want a more casual holiday jacket patch look. Pop a layer of topping on any pile fabric. Centre the composition and hoop snug before you run the underlay, the satin columns on the gold buttons need a stable base or theyll lay wonky.
Send me a chat note line if anything in the file looks off and Ill sort it within the hour.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
