Built this tree to be the one people reach for when they dont want anything clever or quirky, just a proper classic christmas tree and nothing else. Eight colours, multiple greens for the layered branch fills, gold star at the top, red and gold baubles scattered through the branches, a brown trunk base, and white tips on the branch ends that give it that light snow feel. Its fully decorated, not just an outline.

Stitch count goes from 14,371 on a 3.5 mini up to 44,505 on the 7.5 inch. Thats a decent number for the large, the 8 colour ornament fills account for alot of it. Density sits at 920 across the piece, so youre working with a substantial fill especially on the layered foliage sections. Five sizes total, 3.5 inches up to 7.5 wide, heights from 3 to 6.45 inches so its a wide format rather than a tall narrow one.

Kinda just the workhorse christmas design in my catalogue. My sister asked me to stitch it on her kids christmas stockings 3 years running now, she says the 8 colours make it feel premium even on a simple felt stocking. Ive sold a bunch of these every november and december, customers come back to order a larger size after stitching the first one.

Pop a cutaway stabiliser behind the larger sizes, the 920 density fill needs solid backing to stay flat. Woven cotton and linen work great for lighter applications. Use a tearaway on canvas totes or rigid woven fabrics. For fleece or terry cloth add a topping layer to keep the ornament satin fills and foliage texture from sinking into the pile. Dont skip the topping on fleece.

Eight colours, five sizes, 44k stitches at the largest, a proper christmas tree with ornaments and star. Solid for shirts, stockings, tote bags, and cushion covers.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Christmas stocking frontsStitch the large 6-in on the front panel of a felt or canvas christmas stocking for a fully decorated tree look.
  • Holiday sweatshirts and hoodiesThe 7.5 inch wide version centred on a plain sweatshirt gives a bold traditional christmas front that doesnt need any text.
  • Festive cushion coversWorks on a white or cream cushion cover as a traditional christmas home decor piece that goes with any colour scheme.
  • Christmas tote bagsUse a 5 inch version on the front of a canvas tote bag for a reusable christmas gift bag that looks handmade.
  • Holiday apronsStitch the chest 4 in on the bib of an apron for a festive kitchen gift that feels both useful and seasonal.
  • Advent calendar panelsUse different sizes across a set of fabric advent calendar pockets, this tree works as the big central panel design.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
