Traditional holly wreath, full circle, no bow, no extra elements. Just the holly branches looping round with clusters of red berries dotted through it. The leaves have proper vein detail done in directional satin stitching so each one looks like an actual holly leaf with those pointy lobed edges rather than just a flat green oval. Gonna be honest, the leaf work is what makes this one worth the stitch time.
3 colours: deep green for the leaves, red for the berry clusters, and a very dark brown-black for the stems and leaf veins. Simple palette but it actually kinda just works for traditional christmas. 4 sizes total, smallest is 4.5 inches across and largest hits 7.5 inches. Stitch count goes from around 22k up to just over 37k at full size.
The dense leaf fills need a cutaway stabiliser, especially on the bigger sizes where youre stacking alot of satin coverage. Pop midweight cutaway behind and hoop it properly with no slack, the wreath shape needs to stay round. Skip flimsy fabrics on the large size because all that dense stitching can pucker thin weaves.
I started digitising this one last autumn after a customer asked if I had a proper traditional wreath without a bow or ribbon. She wanted just the foliage. Sent me a reference photo of her nans old embroidered table linen and I basically built from that.
Send me the design file order number if anything looks off when you stitch it up and ill take a look.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Christmas table linen and placematsThe 6 inch feature centred on a linen or cotton placemat makes a formal traditional christmas table setting.
- Holiday throw pillow coversStitch on a cream or ivory pillow cover in dark green and red for classic holiday bedroom or couch decor.
- Festive tote bags and shoppersOn a canvas or burlap tote bag the wreath shape fills the front panel well and reads from a distance.
- Christmas stockingsOn a felt or velvet christmas stocking panel the dense satin fills hold firm and the berries pop in red.
- Decorative hoop wall artA 7.5 inch version hooped and displayed in a natural wood hoop makes a reusable christmas wall decoration.
- Linen napkin ring or napkin cornerA 4.5-in placement on a linen napkin corner gives a formal christmas table look without going overboard.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
