This ones the simple classic. Two lines, serif font, Merry Christmas stacked vertically, no holly, no bells, no snowflakes cluttering the background. Just the text, done properly in 2 colors. Im a sucker for designs like this because they age well and match everything. Theres a temptation to pile on decoration but this one keeps its nerve and stays clean.

Stitch count goes from 9,899 at the smallest 2.44-inch up to 22,515 at 5.22 inches wide. The narrow column format is a natural fit for stocking cuffs and pillow panels where a wide design would crowd out the edges. Built the layout in one quiet evening and the serif letterforms hold their shape even at that small 2.44-inch render, the serifs dont blob together and the spacing stays legible. Hoop firm tearaway behind woven cotton or linen, run cutaway if youre doing it on a stretchy jumper or fleece.

I had a customer a couple of christmases back who ordered this specifically because she wanted text without any fuss, she was doing a matching set of 6 white dinner napkins as a gift. She said it was the cleanest version shed found. Stitch it on a stocking cuff, pop it onto a flour sack towel, or use it across the chest of a red sweatshirt for a dead straightforward christmas project that doesnt need any other elements around it.

Five sizes from 2.44" x 3.51" to 5.22" x 7.51". Send a message if you need a different colour layout and Ill see what I can do.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Christmas stocking cuffs and cuff panelsThe narrow column format fits a stocking cuff cleanly without needing to scale down, use the medium size.
  • Holiday kitchen towels and dish clothsWhite cotton kitchen towels are the obvious choice here, the two-color text reads clearly against the fabric.
  • Throw pillow covers and cushion panelsPillow panel placement in the center works well, especially on plain cream or red cotton covers.
  • Christmas table napkins and placematsTable napkins in a set of 4 or 6 stitched with this give a proper matching christmas table setting.
  • Holiday tote bags and gift bagsCanvas tote bags for holiday use, stitch near the top for a banner-style placement.
  • Sweatshirts and jumpers for the festive seasonThe text sits well on the chest area of a sweatshirt, clean and readable without competing with other design elements.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
