Sometimes you just want the classic Halloween image done cleanly and thats exactly what this is. Its a deep purple witch hat with a tall pointed crown and a wide brim that curls slightly at the edges, very traditional silhouette. Around the base of the crown theres a dark band with a small gold or yellow buckle detail, which is the one bit of contrast that stops it looking flat. The purple fill is rich and the hat has a slightly shaded look from the angle which gives it a bit of dimension. No background clutter, no extra elements, just the hat, clean and recognisable from across a room.

Exact sizes and stitch counts are in the PDF file that comes with your download. The design is straightforward from a stitching perspective since its mostly fill and satin areas, so stitch quality depends on good stabilising rather than complex color sequencing. A medium tearaway works well on quilting cotton or woven twill. On fleece or jersey, go with a cutaway and keep the hoop snug. The buckle detail is small so make sure your needle is in good condition for those passes.

This one is really popular as a pocket placement on kids Halloween outfits and also as a small accent on tote bags and pouches. One customer ran a row of these across the hem of a black Halloween apron she sewed for her daughter and it looked fantastic, very witchy without being over the top. Works equally well as a single centered piece on the back of a kids trick-or-treat bag.

Drop me a message if you want a version with the hat in a different colorway and Ill sort it out fast.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
