This is one of those designs where the simplicity is the whole point. Its a steaming mug, just a classic rounded mug shape, with little steam wisps rising from the top and a small heart nestled in among the steam curls. Nothing complicated. The mug is solid and readable, the steam is delicate enough to feel light rather than heavy, and the heart is small enough that it reads as a detail rather than a statement. Its the kind of design that people dont overthink, they just know immediately that they want it on their morning hoodie or their kitchen apron.
No size or stitch data on file for this one so test stitch on your intended fabric first. The design is mostly single-color or two-color depending on whether you run the mug and steam the same color or differentiate them. Simple fill areas make it a fast stitch and a good choice for someone still learning their machine settings. Tearaway stabiliser on woven fabrics like apron cloth or canvas. Cutaway on jersey or fleece hoodies since the steam curls have fine edges that can lift on stretch fabric. Hoop flat and even.
Morning hoodies are the most common use I hear about, the left chest placement keeps it personal without being too much. An apron bib is another strong use especially for coffee-themed kitchen decor. A customer embroidered this on a set of linen cocktail napkins for a coffee lover and said they got more compliments on those napkins than on anything they'd made before. Tote bags, canvas pouches, and cozy sweatshirts all work. If you want the design to read differently, running the mug in a dark espresso color and the heart in red gives a whole different feel.
