Three ghosts out for their morning coffee run. Left one wears a chunky knit beanie in warm tan with a pom-pom on top, holds a small round hot coffee cup close to its chest. Centre ghost has a butterfly perched on top of its head, holding a tall iced green drink, like it ordered the matcha latte. Right ghost has a burnt orange cap and a smaller iced cup in a similar rust-orange colour. Above all 3 of em, tiny bats scatter mid-air like they tagged along. Its a horizontal composition, all three ghosts the same height, reading as a little crew.

Suprised me how much detail my embroidery software packed into 6 colours here. The ghost bodies are open white satin with crosshatch shadow texture, each hat runs in satin columns following the knit rows, the drinks have separate fill passes for the cup body and the lid, and those tiny bats are just black satin blobs with wing angles cut in. Six colour changes, 89 trims on the smallest size, 101 trims on the 4.44-inch version. Density sits at 1,198 which is genuinely the heaviest of the 5 in this set, so dont skip the stabiliser choice here. Stitch count goes from 15,889 at 2.08 inches wide up to 39,951 at 4.44 inches wide.

One customer told me last october she runs a small fall coffee cart at a weekend farmers market and ordered 8 aprons with this design. She sent photos of her staff wearing em and the aprons were getting more attention than the drinks menu. I get messages from coffee shop owners and pop-up vendors asking about this one every september, its the file I pull out when someone says they want autumn and cozy and a little bit halloween all at once.

Stitch on cream, oatmeal, or sage green fabric. Pop it on a canvas apron, a linen tote, a fleece blanket, or a heavyweight sweatshirt. Avoid white backgrounds, those white forms need a warm neutral around em or theyll disappear at the edges. Use a cutaway stabiliser for all fabric types here, the density at 1,198 on a wide horizontal design will pull lighter tearaway out of register on the outer ghosts. Hoop with enough margin on the sides, the design spans 4.44 inches at full size and you want the end ghosts well inside the hoop boundary.

Keep machine speed moderate on the hat sections. The satin columns across the knit hat rows are the finest stitches in the file and rushing em causes looping on the bobbin side. One run at 80% speed. Done.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
