A dolphin mid-leap with a burst of colour splash fanning out behind it. The body is smooth satin in ocean blue, darker on the dorsal side and lighter underneath the belly, and the paint-splash cloud behind it uses a loose scatter fill that gives an almost watercolour look. Six colours total, mainly blues and aqua, plus a coral accent in the splash and white highlights along the dorsal fin ridge.
Sizes cover 3.49 wide by 2.59 inches tall at 8788 stitches through to 7.49 by 5.55 inches at 22,859 stitches. Density sits at 550, which is lighter than a solid fill design and makes it well-suited for softer fabrics like t-shirt jersey and lightweight canvas. I put the 6-inch on a sky blue kids t-shirt this past july and the scatter fill looked like it was printed on, not stitched.
A cutaway stabiliser is the right call for jersey and knits, a medium-weight works fine. Tearaway handles woven cotton without any drama. The underlay in this build is minimal by design, because the looser cloud areas dont need heavy backing to sit flat. industry software kept the stitch density measured so the dolphin body doesnt go rigid on thinner fabric.
Use the mid 4-in on a kids swim bag or beach towel for a holiday project. Stitch a 7-inch run onto a canvas tote for a coastal market gift. Pop it on a linen tea towel alongside a shell design. Pair with the 3.5 size onto matching nautical cushion covers. A customer last season used 3 sizes for a whole beach-themed kids bedroom set and sent me photos, it really did look great.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
