Seven bulbs, 7 different colours, one black cord that bows in a gentle arc. You get blue, orange, red, green, yellow, purple, and a second orange across the strand, which is kinda the classic lil Christmas light palette you see on old-school holiday cards. Each bulb is a solid satin fill with its own black socket cap at the top. The cord itself is a tight cord satin column so it holds its shape even on soft fabrics. Stitch count runs from 1,787 stitches on the smallest 2.51 inch version up to 4,161 on the widest at 5.51 inches across nine colour changes total, which is why this sits at the complex tier.

Im using this arc shape on border placements, its narrow enough at 0.87 to 1.9 inches tall to work as a hem trim or a collar accent without eating up too much fabric. A customer last christmas bought all 3 of my lights border designs to alternate em across a full set of holiday hand towels and said the colour contrast was realy clean against white terry cloth. Press a heavy cutaway under terry cloth because the loops will drag satin stitches sideways without that backing. On woven cotton you can get away with a medium cutaway, the density here at 397 isnt the heaviest.

Back the hoop with your stabiliser, mark your centre, and stitch this one out. Its a straightforward 7-stop thread sequence, your machine will pause at each colour for you to swap. Dont rush the bobbin swap on the cord section, that black column needs consistent tension or you get gaps.

Pick a light or white base fabric so all 7 colours pop properly. Navy or forest green works too but go lighter than the bulbs or you lose the blue and purple ones. Skip black or very dark fabrics, half the colours will disappear into the background.

Ping me if a colour looks off in your embroidery software preview or if ya need the arc flipped horizontally.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
