The crests are the loudest bit on each bird, theyve got long thin red and yellow feather strands fanned up like a punk haircut. Bodies use a mix of hatch fill and satin so the white grey feathers look layered instead of flat. Thick red outlines make the birds pop hard against the foliage. Painted feel throughout.

Best on cream linen, white cotton or oatmeal canvas, the bold reds and blues need a neutral backdrop. Skip dark fabric since the white feathers wont read.
