Its a proper chaos dragon and I mean that in the best way. The body is split into about 8 colour zones, pink head, green cheeks, blue chest, yellow belly, orange upper, teal tail, each section filled with a dense cross-hatch stitch thats got a sketchy drawn-from-a-notebook texture to it. Heavy black outlines hold everything together so even with 18 colour changes nothing bleeds into its neighbour.
The face is where it gets you. Big round eyes, like 2 full diameters of the head each, stitched in dark teal with a white highlight dot that makes em look almost wet. Small pointed horns, a tiny pink nose, little claws clutching forward. The wings are half-open and lean backward so the silhouette stays narrow top to bottom. Scattered around the body are loose paint-blob shapes in complementary colours, like someone flicked a brush at the design and it worked perfectly.
18 colours sounds like a lot and honestly it is, but the stops are logical and each zone stitches fully before the machine pauses. My nephew saw the preview last summer and immediately wanted it on his school bag, which is pretty much the exact reaction youre going for. Thats 24,196 stitches on the large size at a density of 842 per square inch.
Use a medium to firm cutaway, hoop tight, and dont put this on a stretchy knit without proper stabilising. Smooth quilting cotton or dark canvas both take it well. Avoid pale backgrounds, the rainbow sections need contrast to pop. Smallest size is 1.79 by 3.5 inches for a breast pocket. Pop the large on a sleeve or bag panel for the full impact. Ping me if a colour zone shows gapping at the outline edge and Ill rework the design path.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
