Alot of bird designs are just a blob of colour with a beak stuck on. This one actually has personality. The bird perches upright on a thin branch, it has a little crest on its head and these long flowing tail feathers that hang down below the branch line. The crest and tail are done with individual satin columns for each feather strand so they look separated, not fused into one flat section.
11 colours packed into a design thats only 4.5 inches wide at the smallest. The colour mix is tropical without being garish, coral and magenta on the body, teal and deep turquoise on the wings, chartreuse on the tail tips. Vibrant but each section has a clear place. The density of 851 means the detail holds even at the smaller sizes.
My customers who do boho-style home decor and festival clothing pick this one up regularly. I get messages from people who stitch these onto kimono-style jackets, floaty linen tops, cushion covers with macrame trim. Last summer I had 3 orders for festival market sellers doing linen tops with this bird on the chest pocket. Its that kind of design.
4 sizes: 4.5 inches 7.5 jumbo wide, heights running from 2.6 to 4.33 inches so its wider than it is tall. Good for horizontal placement on a chest pocket or collar area. Pair firm cutaway any knit or woven jersey, tearaway works on rigid cotton or linen. Skip fused interlining if you want the fabric to stay soft around the design.
Best results on white, ivory, sage green and warm sand fabrics. Dark backgrounds also work if the coral and teal should really pop. Pick a tight weave cotton for the clearest detail on those tail feather separations.

- Tropical themed cushion coverThe 7.5 inch chest size on a cream or sage green cushion cover gives a living room that nature-forward vibe without being too literal.
- Canvas tote for nature loversUse it on the front panel of a canvas tote in ivory or sand for a bag thats genuinely artistic rather than just functional.
- Festival clothing collar accentA small version on the collar of a plain white summer dress gives a festival outfit that easy put-together tropical feel.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
