A tight cluster of small hearts packed together the way grapes bunch on a vine. Each individual heart is visible but theyre nestled so close that the whole grouping reads as one rounded mass from a distance. Its 4 colours, red, pink, magenta and coral, and the colour distribution means neighbouring hearts contrast enough to stay readable even at smaller sizes. The cluster itself is roughly round or slightly wider than tall, fitting from 3 to 6.6 inches across.

Stitch count goes from 9,261 at 3 inches up to 30,357 at the 6.6 inch size. Density is 613, this is a dense design because youve got lots of small filled satin hearts sitting edge to edge. Youll need a cutaway stabiliser here, the thread volume builds up and a tearaway wont hold. I digitised each heart with its own satin fill so the colour boundaries stay sharp even where hearts sit next to each other. Hoop tightly, the density pulls at fabric if its not held firm.

I get customers ordering this for valentines tote bags and kids school gear more than anything else. Its bright enough for childrens stuff but not childish. A customer told me last february she used the large 6-in on a cotton quilters square as a centrepiece block and it looked like a candy hearts print. Pop it on white or cream fabric so all 4 colours sing. Skip red or pink base fabric because the design colours disappear.

Try the 3 inch cluster on a small coin purse or pencil case pocket. Use the 6.6-inch centre on a pillow or tote center. Avoid pile fabrics like velvet as the small heart detail will sink into the texture.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
