What makes this one different is the silhouette. The rainbow arcs dont form the usual half-circle arch, they curve into a full heart shape. Hot pink on the outside, then a golden yellow strip, then bright teal on the inner arc. The bottom of the heart comes to a point but thats where the pencil sits: a short realistic pencil in warm yellow with a grey tip and a little hot pink eraser at the top end. It makes the whole shape read as a pencil drawing a heart, which is a genuinely clever piece of composition.

Inside the open teal centre is the word "teach" in a loose brush-script in black, with four tiny sparkle stars around it and a small leaf sprig beneath. Around the entire outside of the heart runs a ring of fine script reading "teaching is a work of heart" repeated all the way around. Stitch that outer ring in a single running-stitch pass and it reads delicate rather than heavy. Skip a topping on that section and the fine script can sink, so float one layer of water-soluble mesh if youre stitching onto sweatshirt terry.

Five colours: hot pink, golden yellow, teal, black and warm beige for the pencil body. I drafted this in professional digitising tools to keep the arc text tight, 4 sizes available. Smallest is 3.43 by 3.99 inches at 7,714 stitches. Largest is 6.01 by 7 inches at 14,966. Density is a light 356 stitches per square inch, so the arc fills stitch out flat without pulling the heart shape out of register. A customer ordered the 6-inch on a white linen tote and said the script border stayed razor clean last October when she gave it to her form teacher.

White, cream and light grey fabrics show the full five-colour range properly. Cotton poplin, linen and lightweight denim all hoop well. Use a medium cutaway for stable wovens. Back knits with a medium cutaway and add that solvy layer so the script line dosent drop into the pile.

Drop me a line if the outer script run shifts off-register and Ill resend a corrected file.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
