The wolf is in full howl here, neck stretched back and mouth open wide. The colour treatment is what makes this one stand out from your usual wolf designs. Instead of the standard grey and brown, its got this gradient effect running from warm amber at the chest up through teal and deep indigo at the skull. Looks brilliant and a bit unexpected.

8 colours in total, which gives the fur its layered look. The directional stitching follows the natural flow of wolf fur so each section goes a different angle, you can realy feel the texture when you run your finger over it. 3 colour changes are straightforward and the sections are large enough that swapping thread doesnt feel fiddly.

I sell alot of these to people doing custom wildlife hoodies and jackets, its a popular one. One customer ordered a lil bunch of sizes last month for a craft fair she was running, she wanted em on fleece zip-ups for the outdoorsy crowd. She said they went first on the day which was nice to hear.

5 sizes starting at 3.5 inches wide 7.5-in top size. The largest works well as a back-of-jacket or chest centrepiece. Stitch count goes up to 25,568 stitches at the biggest size so its not the heaviest design, stitches cleanly without too much bulk. Run cutaway behind stretch fabrics and a tearaway on stiff canvas or denim.

Stick to dark backgrounds, navy, charcoal, black and forest green all work well. The amber and teal really pop against dark fabric, they look washed out on white or cream. Ping me if you hit any trouble with the file download and Ill sort you out.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Custom wildlife hoodie back panelthe full 7-in fills the back panel of a zip-up hoodie in charcoal or navy for a bold wildlife piece thats hard to find ready made.
  • Mens jacket chest or shoulderA 5 inch version on the left chest of a dark canvas jacket gives a rugged outdoorsy look without being over the top.
  • Denim tote for nature loversStitch it on a black cotton tote for someone who loves forests and wildlife, it reads as a proper piece rather than a novelty gift.
  • Camping gear personalisationUse the mid-size on a camping bag front pocket or sleeping bag stuff sack for a personalised touch that campers love.
  • Outdoors club merchandiseGreat for small outdoors groups or hiking clubs looking for a custom look on fleece tops without paying for screen printing.
  • Kids wilderness adventure tshirtA smaller 3.5 inch version works on a kids sweatshirt for the little one who wants the wolf theme but nothing too large.
  • Man cave wall art hoopStitch the largest into a 7x5 hoop, back it with dark felt and hang it on the wall as framed textile art in a den or study.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
