The kitten face is front-on and totally symmetrical, big round eyes dead centre taking up most of the upper half. Each eye has a coral ring, a teal iris zone, then the yellow-green pupil highlight at the very centre, all done in concentric satin fills. The nose is tiny, just a small triangle, but the whisker lines extending out either side are long and fine with proper directional stitching so they dont look like random scratches.

Ten colours total and the design relies on flat colour blocking to get the brightness. Left cheek is one solid coral fill, right cheek is teal, and the forehead stripe uses a different shade again. The density is low at 489 and the stitch count across the 9 sizes goes from 3.51 inch at the bottom up through around 22k stitches at the top 7-in size. Low density is actually good here, it keeps the colours clean and punchy without over-saturating the fabric.

My friend runs a children's clothing brand and this past summer she needed a kitten design that could go on pastel t-shirts for toddlers. She tested a few options and this one came out the clearest at the smaller sizes. Customers keep ordering it for kids stuff but honestly it also goes well on adult pouches and tote bags when you want somethin a lil more fun.

Run tearaway beneath cotton jersey and standard knit t-shirts, the low density means it wont distort the fabric but you still want backing under hooped sections. Pop it centre-chest on toddler tees or centred on a small zip pouch face. Try it on mint, white or pale yellow fabric for the best colour contrast, the teal and coral read really well against light backgrounds. Reach out if you need anything and Ill sort you out.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Toddler and kids cotton t-shirtsLow density at 489 makes this kind on lightweight jersey and wont cause puckering on soft kids tops.
  • Zip pouches and small cosmetic bagsThe compact face shape fits small zip pouch panels cleanly, especially in the 3.5 to 5-inch size range.
  • Tote bags and canvas shoppersFlat cotton canvas totes show the bold colour blocks with sharp edges and no bleed.
  • Throw pillow covers and cushion frontsSquare cushion covers in white or cream give the 10-colour palette maximum room to pop.
  • Baby bibs and cloth itemsCotton bib fabric is light enough for the low-density fill and the 3 in micro works perfectly.
  • Sweatshirts and casual hoodiesThe playful face design works on sweatshirt chest panels for casual everyday wear.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
