Its a lynx portrait but not in any natural colour scheme. The face is structured and realistic, with proper directional stitching on the grey fur around the eyes and muzzle, pointed tufted ear tips and that characteristic wide lynx jawline. Then the mane and chest fur just explodes into long streaming satin columns of hot pink, aqua teal, tangerine orange and turquoise, all flowing downward like the cat walked through a bunch of neon dye and came out looking like a festival poster. Honestly its one of the more dramatic designs Ive worked with.

6 colours in the file, grey being the dominant base with 3 colours and nine accent streams making up the rest of the mane. embroidery software digitised the fur streaks as proper directional satin columns with underlay laid in first, so the individual colour segments sit raised and separate from each other. 4 sizes going from 4.50 inches across reaching 7.50 inches, stitches from 20,225 up to 32,620. A lil complex to run on smaller frames but very manageable on a 5x7 or bigger hoop.

I get a lot of messages about this one from wildlife photographers and cat art fans who want something that isnt a plain pet portrait. One customer who sells at craft markets told me she stitched the 7-in design on the back of a black denim jacket and sold it within two hours of setting up her stall last spring. Since then I recieved a bunch of follow-up orders from her regulars. Its that kind of design, people stop and ask about it.

Use a firm cutaway stabiliser on this one, the satin density in the coloured streaks is high and ya need solid backing to stop the columns from sinking into the fabric. Stitch on black, charcoal, or deep navy cotton or canvas for maximum contrast. Avoid pale or cream fabrics because the grey base area nearly disappears and you lose the face structure. Pick a slower machine speed on the long fur columns, they can distort if the hoop shifts at full pace.

Drop me a note if anything looks off when you stitch it out and ill send you a revised file.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
