The macaw is perched front-on with its wings slightly open, so you see the full span of the colouring. Cobalt blue on the outer wing feathers, then a band of green, then red and orange transitioning through to the yellow chest. The head has a white face patch with that arching ridged beak in grey, and the eye sits inside the classic macaw bare-patch marking. Hanging off the branch perch theres these bright paint drips in the same colours as the bird, yellow, red and blue, like the parrot is literally dripping colour onto the floor.

16 colours, 9 sizes and this one is wider than tall. Biggest is 7.5 by 4.74 inches at 55,398 stitches and smallest at 3.5 by 2.21 inches with 20,198 stitches. The feather sections use directional satin fills laid in the actual direction of the feather barbs so the finished result has real depth. Those hanging drips are separate colour zones with rounded teardrop ends, neat little detail that took some proper digitising work in my professional tool to get those curved edges clean.

I made this for people who want a tropical bird design thats not just a plain portrait. The paint drip twist makes it more interesting and Im suprised how many non-bird-people order it because they like the colour explosion. A customer in february ordered it for a set of canvas totes for a tropical-themed hen party, 8 bags in white canvas. Looked amazing, she sent photos of all 8 lined up on a table.

Run on white linen fabric, the blue wing tones need a pale neutral ground and those drip columns are the first thing to disappear on dark cloth. Use pale linen, cream cotton or white canvas. Stitch a mid size on a tote bag side panel where the wide landscape proportion works with the bag shape. Skip dark navy or charcoal here entirely.

Dense wing sections need a firm cutaway stabiliser especially on canvas or denim. Hoop tight and slow the machine through the directional feather fills or the rows shift and separate. 16 colour changes means prep your bobbins in advance. Any issues with colour order or missing format just send me message and Ill sort it same day.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
