This lil mushroom is basically what you picture when someone says fairy forest. Big round scarlet cap with those cream polka dot spots across the top, butter yellow stem, small green grass tufts at the base, and a thick dark outline holding the whole thing together. Each spot is stitched as raised satin fill so it pops off the cap surface rather than sitting flat. 8 colours and nine sizes, and the colour sequencing in my usual software was set up to keep the cap-to-stem transitions clean so ya dont get colour bleed at the edges.

Nine sizes run from 3.51 to 7.51 inches wide. At the smaller end, 3.51 inches and 13,102 stitches, every spot is still distinct and the outline holds cleanly. Full size at 7.51 inches hits 31,895 stitches. Density is 954, thats what keeps the satin sections flat and smooth. I had a customer last autumn use this at 5 inches across a white kids tee and the saturated red against the white fabric was really something special.

Use medium cutaway stabiliser on knit tees for a project like this. Topping helps alot on textured fabrics like french terry or fleece because those satin cap outlines need a clean surface to sit crisp on. Run a full colour check before hooping because the 8 colour sequence includes two close greens that get swapped easily if youre setting up in a hurry. Skip tight stretchy rib knit at the smaller sizes or the dome shape distorts.

Pair it with a forest friend or woodland animal design on the same garment for a coordinated look. the 4.5-in piece works well as a centrepiece on a tote bag or nursery pillow, and the 7 inch version fills a sweatshirt front panel without looking cramped.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
