Heres the colourful parrot on branch and its straight up tropical. A macaw sits sideways on a wooden branch, head turned slightly forward, hooked grey-and-cream beak pointing left. The crown of feathers above the beak runs leaf green into deep red, the chest below glows mustard yellow with white belly fluff, and the wing folded at the back layers cobalt and sky blue feathers down into a long blue tail.

And theres a striking patch of deep red across the upper back where the feathers tuck under the wing. Look at the branch, its rendered in warm tan brown with darker woodgrain lines running along the length, and the parrots tan-grey feet wrap around it with two clawed toes forward and two back, classic parrot grip. Black outlines define the eye and the beak edge, the rest of the body relies on directional stitching to shape every feather group. 16 colours total, alot of thread changes but each one carries weight.

I drew this last spring for one customer who runs a small bird sanctuary gift shop in florida, she sent me reference photos of her resident scarlet-blue macaw and asked for embroidered versions for the gift shop merch. The branch detail came from her photo too, you can almost see the same knot mark she pointed out on her birds favourite perch. Real wholesome project.

Stitch this on a navy or charcoal cotton tee for max colour impact, the mustard yellow chest really sings against dark grounds. Pop the smaller 3.5-in detail on a chambray button-down chest pocket. Run the largest 7-inch on the back panel of a denim tote. Skip super pale fabric here because the pale belly merges into the ground and the body shape weakens.

Densest sections are the wing and tail blues, nearly half the stitch count sits there. Use midweight cutaway behind hooped firm, mesh cutaway works well on jersey or chambray. digitising tools pulled clean directional fills throughout, slow your machine speed when send file across the wing because the colour-on-colour layering needs steady tension. Run a small test on scrap before commiting on the real piece.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
