Colorful Skeleton Embroidery Design, Neon Anatomy Halloween Pattern

Stitched out this colourful skeleton piece and its proper neon anatomy chart energy. Side profile view of a skeleton, head facing left, you see the curve of the cranium, the cheekbone, the jaw with teeth, the long curve of the spine going down, and the rib cage opening up below. The shoulder blade pokes out at the back and the collar bones cross the front. Whole thing reads like a vintage anatomy plate but inked in mismatched neon threads instead of natural bone tones.

6 threads is what makes this go. Dark purple lays down the bone outline, almost 7 thousand stitches on the small size alone for all the cranial hatching and rib detail. Bright yellow fills the inside of the skull and spine. Aqua teal does the ribcage bars, vivid red colours the inner ribs behind, and theres a small hot pink accent peeking through near the lower ribs.

People keep ordering this for indie shop apparel, mostly in austin and portland based on shipping notes I see drop through. Last fall one customer asked if I could drop the rib count from 12 to 11 cause its her brothers favourite anatomy fact, so we did a small custom version for her wedding favour shirts.

5 sizes from 3.08 inches wide up to 6.6 inches wide, taller than wide cause of the ribcage extending below the skull. Smallest works as a chest pocket piece, biggest sits on a sweatshirt or tote front. Skip under 3 inches cause the rib lines collapse together and youll lose the colour separation.

Stitch on black cotton, charcoal denim, midnight navy fleece, deep plum velvet, anywhere the neon palette will sing. Cutaway stabiliser, hooped tight. Drop a fresh bobbin in before the purple bone fill kicks in, that section runs the longest by a country mile.
