Solid five-pointed stars in a neat horizontal row, each one filled flat with clean satin stitching and alternating through 4 colours. Red, gold, navy and cream cycle across the design so no two adjacent stars match. The shapes are sharp at the points with no rounding, proper classic five-point stars. At the widest setting its just under an inch tall and 7.5 inches across, so it sits like a real border rather than a graphic patch.

I reach for this one whenever someone asks for a 4th of july hem treatment or a quick patriotic finish on a project without a full scene design. Its also one I use alot for general celebration stuff, birthday bunting, graduation totes, that sort of thing, because stars arent locked to any single occasion. Four colours keeps the thread swap count low, theres only 3 colour changes across the full width, which matters if youre running multiples.

My sister ordered it last summer for a batch of red, white and navy cotton bandanas she was making for a family reunion. She ran the 5-size collection, testing each on white cotton first, and ended up using the 5-inch version because it sat perfectly between the rolled hem and the main body. She told me later the density was light enough that her older home machine handled it without any pull. Thats how I knew the 451 density rating was working as intended.

Stitch on cotton or canvas for the sharpest star points. Avoid jersey or any stretch because the corners drag and lose definition. Use tearaway underneath since the stitch density here is low. Hoop taut and run a test on a scrap first to make sure your navy thread isnt sitting too loose, you really want the satin fill to sit flat. Skip white or very pale fabric if youre using the cream stars, they wont read. Best on navy or red cotton where the contrast does the work.

All 8 machine formats included. Reach out if something isnt right and Ill fix it fast.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
