The compass rose fills the full design and where the north point would normally sit theres a whole mountain landscape instead. Snow-capped peak with rough rocky edges, then a dense pine forest row in front of it, then the compass needle pointing south below. Its all in 1 colour so the contrast work is carrying everything here.
I digitised this with directional stitching on the mountain so the ridgelines actually look carved, not just flat black. The pine trees use satin columns with varying density so they read as real trees when stitched small. At 3.04 inch the detail holds on canvas and twill. At 7.58 inch on a fleece jacket back its genuinely outdoor-brand quality. Stitch count goes from 8454 at from 3 in baseline to 22385 at the largest, so hoop accordingly and use a cutaway stabiliser for the heavier sizes.
I get alot of orders for this one from people doing custom gifts for hikers, campers, trail runners. Last christmas I had a customer order 12 of these on navy fleece beanies for a hiking club and they sent me photos after. Came out realy sharp even at the mid 4-in on the tight knit.
Hoop it on black, charcoal, olive or navy fabric and it pops. It works on cotton twill hats, canvas totes, denim jacket patches, fleece pullovers. Skip white or cream if you want proper contrast, the single-colour rose and mountain combo needs a dark ground to read right.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
