The compass sits at the top with its four points and the N and W markers still readable, but then the bottom half just dissolves into flowers. Big open peonies, roses in different stages of bloom, smaller star-shaped blossoms, fern leaves and trailing stems, all flowing downward like they're growing out of the compass itself. Its a tattoo flash design translated into thread, and it works really well.

Pure line art, no fill stitching, all in black. The outlines are clean and the detail level is high. The worksheet shows 16,206 stitches at 5 inches going up to 25,500 at the largest 8-inch size. Thats a lot of path for a single colour, so the digitising had to be precise and industry software pulled it off cleanly. Slide stiff tearaway under the hoop on any stretch fabric before hooping to keep the outline paths from shifting.

Single color gives you real freedom. Stitch it white on black denim, black on natural linen, sage green on cream cotton. Each looks completely different and all of them work. A customer wrote me last week saying they weren't sure about the 5-inch and went with the 7-inch instead, and thats almost always the right call for jacket backs. Only 4 sizes in this one (5" to 8") because the detail really needs the space to breathe.

Download is instant after payment. Send me a note if you need help picking the right size for your project and Ill come back to you quickly. Pick the largest size you can fit, this design rewards every extra inch of space you give it.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Denim jackets with back panel or sleeve placementBack panel on a denim jacket in white thread is probably the most striking way to use this. It reads exactly like a tattoo on the fabric.
  • Tote bags for botanical or travel-themed aestheticsNatural canvas tote with the design centered on the front panel has a really strong botanical illustration look.
  • Throw pillow covers in cream or black linenA dark navy or charcoal linen pillow cover stitched in off-white thread makes this look like a vintage engraving.
  • Hoodie back panels for an art-forward streetwear lookHoodie back placement at the 8-inch size fills the upper back nicely without going edge to edge.
  • Stretched hoop wall art in a bedroom or hallwayIn a 10-inch natural wood hoop this makes genuinely nice wall art. I've had people ask if it was a botanical print.
  • Matching set of pouches or cosmetic bagsA set of zipper pouches in black canvas with this design makes a nice gift set for someone into botanical or tattoo aesthetics.
  • Bandanas and neckerchiefs in a single central placementOn a large square bandana, center placement at the 5-inch size gives just enough presence without overwhelming the piece.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
