I sold about 40 of these last autumn and honestly wasn't sure the sunglasses would land on a chipmunk, but they really do. The little animal is sitting upright in a patch of grass, arms folded across the chest, wearing huge reflective aviator-style frames that are too big for his face. Thats kind of the whole point. The expression reads as unbothered, he just doesnt care.

The fur is what makes this one worth the stitch count. There are proper layered stripes across the back, the white chest comes through clearly, and those little pink ears poke up behind the glasses. Six colors total, and the machine handles the 5 stops smoothly. And the grass at the base fills in naturally around the feet without needing a separate stabiliser pass. Every single one of that batch came out clean on the first run, toddler hoodies in a mid-weight cotton blend.

Hoop with a medium-weight cutaway under anything stretchy, woven cotton and denim can use a tearaway instead. Use a topping on terry or fleece to stop the pile from swallowing the fine detail in the fur lines. The 4 inch size sits nicely on a chest pocket or a kids backpack strap. Pop the bigger sizes centred on the back of a toddler hoodie or across a hat front panel.

So yeah, the chipmunk with sunglasses. Its one of those animal designs that people spot on a finished item and ask about immediately, which is what you want really.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Kids t-shirts and sweatshirtsSits well on chest or centre-back of a kids tee in the 4 to 5 inch range.
  • Children's backpacks and school bagsGreat on a front panel or flap pocket, the detail reads clearly at smaller sizes.
  • Baseball caps and beaniesLooks good centred on the front panel, especially the 3.5 baseline.
  • Tote bags for fun everyday useBold enough to work as the main feature on a plain canvas tote.
  • Toddler hoodies and zip-up jacketsThe 5 inch size fills a hoodie chest well without looking cramped.
  • Denim jackets with a novelty patch lookStitch it onto a patch of twill first then iron-on for a cleaner finish.
  • Pillow covers for a kids bedroomThe 6 inch or larger version works on a standard cushion cover front.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
