Not your typical christmas tree. Its built from geometric sections and angular fills rather than a soft realistic silhouette. The tree has that Scandinavian-influenced look, clean edges, intentional shapes, and the decorative elements built right into the structure rather than scattered randomly across a standard triangle outline.

Six colours with forest green doing most of the work on the tree body. Accent tones for the geometric ornament sections, a trunk base and a topper. Occured to me when I was digitising it that the hardest part was getting the interior angles to line up correctly across sizes, but the density at 729 average means everything sits flat and crisp. Stitch count runs from around 9,884 at a 3.5 mini version up to 32,536 at the full 7.5 inch. Thats where the geometric detail really lands, give it the big size if you can.

People have been ordering this for modern and minimalist christmas decor projects this past season. My niece stitched the 6-in centre on a natural linen cushion cover and it looked like something from a Scandinavian home goods catalogue honestly. Wouldnt have expected a digital embroidery file to get that kind of result but it really does. Works just as well on clothing if youre after something that doesnt look like every other christmas tree shirt out there.

Five sizes from 3.51 to 7.51 inches wide, heights between 2.78 and 5.94 inches. Pick a good medium-weight cutaway stabiliser especially for the larger sizes since the interior fill sections need support to hold their geometry. Stitch on cream, natural linen, white, navy or forest green. Try it on a charcoal grey for a cool modern winter look. Avoid very small hoop sizes at the lowest size since the angular details need clean tension to read correctly.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Modern christmas cushion cover designsOn a natural linen cushion cover at the 6 inch size it reads as intentional home decor rather than just a seasonal swap.
  • Scandinavian-style holiday home decorFor people who like clean Scandinavian aesthetics it fits their holiday decor without looking out of place.
  • Geometric christmas tote bagsOn a canvas tote the angular tree structure gives the bag a graphic quality that makes it feel like a designed object.
  • Design-forward holiday sweatshirtsOn a plain sweatshirt at the 5 inch size it gives people a christmas piece that doesnt look like the same tree everyone else is wearing.
  • Linen table runner embroideryAcross a linen table runner at the mid 4-in in a repeating arrangement it creates a striking seasonal table setting.
  • Christmas wall hoop art displaysHooped in a natural wooden hoop on linen it displays as a wall art piece that works all through the winter months.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
