Heres the cool t-rex and hes living his best summer. Standing forward-facing, tiny arms hanging down, big toothy grin. Two black sunglasses cover the eyes with a little white highlight in each lens. Hes wearing a loud hawaiian shirt in turquoise and hot pink with mustard palm-leaf print scattered across the front. The classic t-rex green body finishes the silhouette.

Thirteen colours total but its misleading because the dino itself only uses three of em. Body sits in leaf green, belly drops to mint, claws and teeth are cream. Sunglasses are flat black with a tiny white shine highlight. The hawaiian shirt is where the rest of the colours pile in: turquoise base, hot pink hibiscus shapes, mustard palm leaves and a touch of coral on the buttons. Black outline runs the silhouette.

One mum messaged me last june asking for a vacation-photo tee for her sons fourth birthday and we ran the medium 5-in across the soft yellow shirt. She sent photos back from the beach trip, the turquoise shirt detail held up nine washes deep. Stitch counts run from 17k on the smallest 3.12-inch size up to almost 44k on the biggest 7.5-inch hoop. Density is gentle at 869 so its kind on knit fabrics aswell. Wont chew through your bobbin either.

Stitch on lighter solid fabrics so the tropical-print colours pop. Cream, soft yellow, pale blue, oat, mint and white all carry it nicely. Skip dark navy or forest green fabric, the green dino just disappears into deep tones. And avoid black tee fabric here aswell, the sunglasses lose all definition without contrast around them.

Drop a mid cutaway on tee fabric and beach totes, tear-away handles fine on stiffer canvas or denim shorts. Hoop tight, sequence the body green first, then the tropical shirt colours layer by layer, sunglasses go down before the white highlight, outline stitches last. If your machine throws a wobbly on the file just shoot me a message and Ill have a fresh copy out same day.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
