Ghost in a cowboy hat swinging a lasso mid-air, built last october when I kept seeing those generic sheet-ghost cliparts everywhere and wanted something with a bit more personality. The ghost here is a proper western cowboy type, proper round body, little arms sticking out, big ol brown hat sitting on top of where a head would be. Its swinging a lasso overhead, the rope arc going wide and looping back. Tiny cacti sit at the base on either side, just enough to sell the desert setting.

Colour-wise its pretty restrained for a halloween piece. Off-white and pale mint-teal on the ghost body, the hat in russet brown with satin columns on the brim, the lasso in golden tan thread. Black oval eyes give the face its whole expression, and they land just right so the ghost reads as cheerful rather than scary. Thats the vibe really, spooky but make it friendly.

Ghost body gets directional underlay first so the fill sits smooth and the mint-teal shading on the lower half reads as shadow. Hat brim is satin with tight density, hold the speed down on that section on denim and fleece or you get tunnelling. Run the lasso arc last since its a single run-stitch curve and it needs the base fills stable first. Use a cutaway stabiliser and hoop firmly, nine sizes total, 9,092 stitches from the small hoop through the largest at 24,742. professional embroidery software digitised the whole thing so the satin-to-fill transitions are tight.

A customer wanted this for a batch of kids halloween party bags last fall, ordered the 5-inch version and ironed it onto small canvas pouches. She said every kid at the party asked if the ghost was a real cowboy. So ya, it lands. Pick cream, burnt orange, dusty sage or black cotton for the best result. Hit me up if your machine struggles with the file and Ill resolve it fast same day.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
