I drew this cowboy and horse last february for a customer building a western themed birthday party, she wanted a strong action motif for the kids tees and the banner. cant believe how the horses mid-stride pose reads at smaller sizes. Bold western illustration, lasso swinging, real saturday-matinee energy to it. Aswell as kids stuff it works great for rodeo merch.

Set has 14 3.5 through to top wide to 7.49 inches, stitch counts from 1041 to 48560. Seven colours in the palette, density around 882 spi which puts it sits moderate for most fabrics. So the dense saddle and horse body fills need a midweight cutaway minimum, heavyweight is better for the bigger sizes. Digitised in my usual software, horse body first then the saddle leather, cowboy laid in front, lasso outline stitched last so it sits on top cleanly. Im happy I kept this in the catalogue. Stitches up fast with a proper hoop. Honestly its grown on me a lot.

Use a sharps 75/11 for the fine lasso rope and rein lines. one of my regulars ran the 6-inch on a heavy denim apron and it came out clean once she swapped to polyester thread, said the colours read alot brighter against the dark denim. recieved photos from her two weeks later showing it after washing, still sharp. Pop a tearaway sheet on stiff canvas. But avoid metallic thread, the dense fills wont play nice with it.

Use on kids western party tees, denim aprons, canvas saddlebag panels, hoop art, rodeo banner panels, throw pillows. Pair with a small horseshoe or cactus motif for matching western sets that work for parties or year-round western decor.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
