I kinda just kept adding details to this one until it felt genuinely cosy. Sixteen colours, the boots, the pumpkin, the leaves, the vine, the shadows, it all kinda builds up into a little autumn still-life that works really nicely on fabric. 12,087 stitches at 3.5 inches wide, digitised in my standard software with a density of 210.

The density of 210 is in a nice middle range, dense enough to get proper colour saturation across all sixteen stops without the design going rigid on lighter fabrics. The pumpkin sections use two or three shades of orange in a directional satin that gives em a genuinely natural round look. The boots are digitised with separate fill and applique-style outlines so you get clean edges. Stabiliser is cutaway, sixteen colours and 12k stitches needs firm backing. Hoop your fabric snug, dont let it shift mid-run or the boot outlines will separate from the fills. Use a 75/11 on cotton, 80/12 on canvas or denim.

I get a bunch of orders for this in september and october from people customising autumn tote bags, sweatshirts and pillow covers. The colour palette is warm enough to work from september right through november so its not kinda strictly a halloween piece, its genuinely more of a fall-season design. Stitch it on a linen pillow cover and the warm tones pick up the natural linen colour beautifully. On darker fabrics, use a light cutaway and run a tack-down underlay first so the sixteen colours register correctly. Wash inside-out in cool water to keep the orange threads from fading on the first cycle.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
