Drew this one because I kept seeing the phrase everywhere and nobody had a version that actually looked interesting to stitch. The word CREATED arches across the top in chunky bold serif caps, then PURPOSE sits heavy at the bottom, and between them the design splits into 2 very different things. Left side is a monarch butterfly wing done in dense satin stitch, all those diagonal lines packed in tight so the wing sections read clearly. Right side is a loose outline rose cluster with 3 roses and some berries and leaves, barely any fill at all. Thats the contrast that makes it work.

Ive been digitising this kind of mixed approach for a while and the tricky part is getting the underlay right so the satin on that filled wing section doesnt pull the fabric when you switch to the light outline work on the rose side. We use professional digitising software and the stabiliser choice matters alot here. Cutaway on anything stretchy, standard tearaway on a firm cotton or canvas. The 4 sizes run 3.78 to 6.62 inches wide and 4.01 to 7.01 inches tall, stitch counts 9,581 up to 17,523 depending which size you hoop.

One customer ordered this in the biggest size for a bible study tote and said the density on the butterfly wing came out looking almost like velvet thread. Thats exactly what Im going for. Pick a mid-weight stabiliser and keep your bobbin tension even and it should do that. Add it to a light fabric so the black reads strong. Avoid dark navy or charcoal backgrounds unless you want it to disappear. Hit me up if the file gives you any trouble and Ill sort it.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Faith and inspirational tote bagsBold arched lettering reads clearly on canvas totes, great for bible study groups or church market stalls.
  • Church group sweatshirtsThe chunky satin text holds well on fleece and thick sweatshirt fabric, readable from a few feet away.
  • Motivational wall hoop artHooped on a 7-inch hoop in a natural linen ring, this fills the frame without needing extra decoration.
  • Book bags and bible coversSmaller 3.78-inch size fits neatly on a book bag flap or the corner of a fabric bible cover.
  • Personalised zip pouches for giftsRun it on a cotton zip pouch in black thread on white canvas for a clean and giftable look.
  • Baby shower favour totesAt the smallest size its compact enough for a favour bag front panel without overwhelming the cloth.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
