The raccoon face here is the proper detailed kind, not a cutesy cartoon version. Its drawn with tight directional stitching so the fur actually reads like fur, all those little radiating lines around the muzzle and the bandit mask done in proper satin columns. Then around the whole face my digitising suite laid out these big splashy watercolour-style bursts, 13 colours total including aqua, jade green, yellow, orange, red, dark magenta, purple. Like someone let a kid loose with a paint set right behind his head.

The two sides of the colour splash arent matching either, thats the point. Left side runs warm, right side goes cool. Its not perfectly symmetrical and that actually makes it look more hand-done and less like clipart. The raccoon himself stays in black and white so the colour contrast realy pops. Black outlines at the ears, white chin fur, that classic dark-ringed eye mask.

I get pings about this one a lot from people doing custom tees for art teachers and creative-type gifts. One customer last september used the 7.62-inch size on the the denim jacket panel for a graphic design grad, sent me a photo and it was honestly one of the best uses I seen. The colour wash stitches different than a typical solid fill so I kept the density at 577 on the splashes so you dont get puckering on lighter fabrics.

Best on white cotton or cream canvas where the 13 colours really show. Pop the smaller 4.93-inch on a tote bag front panel. Avoid dark navy or charcoal here because half those paint splash colours disappear against dark grounds and youre paying for 13 threads you cant see. Back it with heavyweight cutaway, the dense raccoon face section needs proper backing especially on the mask area. Holler at me if your machine spits out an error on the file and I'll get it sorted same day.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
