Its a plain crescent moon pointing left, solid black fill with a handful of white star cutouts dotted across its body. Simple enough on its own but then coming off the top horn theres a constellation cluster floating above it, a bigger five-pointed star at the top, smaller four-pointers, and round dot nodes scattered between them, all connected by thin single-stitch lines like a star chart drawn by hand. The whole thing is compact and readable, nothing fighting for attention.
Thats what I like about it. The crescent does the visual anchoring and the constellation above gives it just enough detail to stop it being boring. At the small 2.6-inch size the constellation lines are very fine but they hold, digitising tools kept the jump stitches measured and the line detail comes out clean without pulling. Last month one customer ordered the 4.5-inch for a pyjama pocket run and said it stitched out perfectly first try with no adjustments.
Stitch count runs low, 4.4k at the smallest up to 13k at the largest, so its a genuinely quick run even at the big size. Good for batching multiples. If youre doing a matching celestial set, cushions, tote bags, pyjama tops, this one pairs nicely with other moon designs without fighting them. Run it in black on any light fabric and youre good, white, cream, pale blue, soft grey all suit it well.
Use tearaway stabiliser on woven cotton or canvas and hoop the fabric drum-tight. Skip fluffy fleece or thick terry because those surface fibres swallow the fine connector lines between the constellation dots. Add a water-soluble topping on velvet if youre going that route and the fine lines will sit on top of the pile instead of sinking in.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
