Drew up these crossed candy canes after one customer said all the candy cane designs out there were too soft and traditional. So I figured a stained glass look would feel different. Two canes cross in the middle and form a heart shape, both striped in bright red, white and aqua blue. Where they meet at the bottom theres a cluster of green holly leaves.
Every stripe segment and leaf has a bold black outline round it, almost like the leaded lines on a stained glass window. The aqua blue stripe between the red and the white is the touch that makes it pop, very different from the usual two stripe candy cane look. Im honestly pleased with how graphic it ended up, its been a hit so far.
I get messages alot from customers running shops who want something modern for their holiday merch line. Last november a customer ordered the largest size for a black canvas tote bag run, sold 40 of them at her december craft market. Realy this works because the black outlines hold up at every size and the colours stay punchy.
5 sizes ship in the file, smallest 3.15 inches wide, biggest 6.73. Smaller fits nicely on a stocking front or tea towel, larger works for a tote, pillow or quilt block.
Stitches solid on cotton, canvas, twill, denim and felt. Skip very busy patterned fabrics because the heavy black outlines need a plain background. Use a tearaway on woven, cutaway for stretch. Holler if the file gives you trouble, Ill help fast.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
