Little tabby kitten with its head tilted right over, those wide round eyes looking up like its heard something from the next room. The fur has proper hatching lines built into the stitching so it doesnt just look like a flat black mass. Short dense stripes down the forehead, fluffy ruff around the chest, tiny little paws tucked underneath. Single colour black, no fills, pure linework where it counts. Honestly its the tilt of the head that makes this one, its just got that realy expressive pet portrait feel.
I pulled this together in industry-grade software running density of 820, and that shows in the stitch count. The large 7.5-inch size totals around 28,890 stitches and even the small 4.5-inch size runs at 17,431 stitches. There are 4 sizes total, widths from 4.5 reaching to 7.5. Because of the density ya need a good firm cutaway stabiliser, especially on stretchy fabrics. The hatching texture in the fur requires the stabiliser to hold the fabric perfectly flat or the lines start pulling together and the fur detail loses its crispness. Use a medium to heavy cutaway under denim or cotton canvas.
One customer asked me last week about running this on black fabric and I had to tell her it wouldnt read well, single-colour designs in black really need a light ground. Cream, white, oatmeal or light grey cotton all work great. She went with natural linen and said it came out looking like a real etching print. Thats a nice way to think about it actually, this one has alot of that scraped ink illustration quality when the stitching lands right.
Stitch on a white or cream beige cushion cover for a cat lover room. Pop it on a natural cotton tote for a feline-obsessed friend. Try it on a plain white cotton t-shirt or on a canvas notebook cover. Use the 4.5 piece on a small canvas pouch for a compact version.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
