Its one of those single-color designs that somehow feels luxurious when its stitched out. All that curly hair rendered in tight running stitch loops, the eyelashes, the defined brow arc, and then the face underneath kept deliberately minimal so your eye goes straight back to the hair.

The design is a woman portrait from roughly shoulder height up, face forward, hair pulled up into a big loose bun with curls cascading around the sides. Its drawn in a fine line-art style, no fill areas, just the contour lines doing all the work. At 4.51 inches wide and up, the curl detail in the hair is genuinely impressive to look at up close. I stitched the 7.51 inch version on cream linen recently and a customer asked me if I drew it by hand on the fabric, which is the kind of compliment you want for a line-art design.

The density is 1,007 density which gives is high for a single-color design, but thats because every line in those curls needs to be precise. the digitising software handles the directional running stitch paths so the loops stay smooth. Smallest version at 4.51 inches wide runs 25,437 stitches, biggest is 45,008 at 7.51 inches. Use cutaway stabiliser and a sharp needle, the stitch count warrants both. Skip dark navy or black fabric unless the thread colour is pale enough to read. Pop it on cream linen or natural cotton for the cleanest result.
