A design that catches people off guard, the word DAD in solid block letters, but inside that first big D, theres a full scene: a father bent over, one hand on a small bicycle seat, steadying a kid who is learning to ride. The figures are detailed line art, not just flat shapes. You can see the posture, the dad leaning forward, the kid gripping the handlebars. Its the kind of image people look at for a moment before they realise the letters are part of it too.
4 sizes from 2.43 up to 4.24 inches wide and 7 inches tall. Stitch counts from 4,952 to 12,084, density 407. Single colour thread, a medium cutaway stabiliser works on both woven and knit fabrics. Use dark charcoal or black thread on a light-coloured linen or cotton for the best contrast on the scene detail. Thats where the linework really shows up.
I get messages about this one more than most of the dad designs, especially from people making a gift for a dad who taught their kids to cycle. One customer ordered it last fathers day specifically because her dad had taught her on a blue bmx in the early 90s and she wanted to commemorate that on a pillow. Go give it to the dad who deserves it, these kinds of gifts land differently to a shop-bought card.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Personalised Father's Day pillowcases and cushion coversthe 4-in chest on a white pillowcase in black thread is a really elegant keepsake gift.
- Dad t-shirts as a meaningful keepsake giftCentered on a t-shirt chest at 3.5 inches, the scene detail reads clearly.
- stretched hoop art for a home office or studyStitch in a 5-inch hoop on natural cotton and frame it for a meaningful wall piece.
- Kitchen towels for sentimental giftsA set of linen kitchen towels with this in the corner makes a really personal home gift.
- Baby blanket corner for a new dadBottom corner of a baby blanket in the smallest size is a subtle but touching dad detail.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
