The design is a circular badge, like a sports patch or a seal. 'Best' arches along the top inside a thin curved banner, then 'Dad' sits huge in the middle in a thick bold script that takes up most of the space, and 'Ever' arcs along the bottom in blocky uppercase inside a ribbon shape. Small stars sit at the left and right of the outer circle, all enclosed in a single thin outer ring.

One colour, black, stitch count goes from about 5,500 at 3 inches up to just under 17,000 at the 7 inch version. At the larger sizes the 'Dad' script has that dense raised satin look which is what makes it read well from a distance. Slip tearaway under cotton and canvas. Pop a cutaway on fleece or any stretch fabric. Skip dark fabrics if you want the badge detail to really show, mid-tone fabrics like navy, khaki or grey work nicely.

Last june my brother in law got one on a navy apron and everyone at the barbecue asked where he got it. I know thats just one person but its a design people actually read and respond to rather than just noticing as decoration. The badge format gives it credibility, it doesnt look like a novelty gift, it looks intentional.

Six sizes, single black thread, works well on cotton, canvas, denim and fleece. Email me if the download gives you any trouble and ill get it sorted out same day.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Father's Day gift shirt or apronCentred on a plain black or navy tee it makes a clean fathers day gift that doesnt feel cheap or throwaway.
  • Dad's grilling or BBQ apronOn a canvas BBQ apron the badge format looks like it belongs there, like it was always part of the design.
  • Canvas tote bag for a practical dadThe 5 inch run on a sturdy canvas tote is a practical gift that gets used rather than stored away.
  • Baseball cap or trucker hat side panelOn the side of a baseball cap it fits the badge shape well and reads clearly from a distance.
  • Personalised cushion cover for dad's chairA large version on a cushion cover for the armchair or sofa is a personal home gift he might actually keep.
  • Denim jacket back patch ideaCut on heavy stabiliser and sewn on as a patch it makes a solid back piece for a dad who wears denim.
  • Gift wrap bag or fabric gift pouchStitched on a fabric drawstring bag or gift pouch it upgrades the packaging of a practical fathers day present.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
