I made this daisy design last february when I had a bunch of springtime orders coming in and nothing in my catalogue that felt light enough. Heres the thing about daisies, they work on alot of different fabrics and never look out of place. The stitch range goes from 1,136 at from the small size to 13,088 at 7.5 inches wide, so youre not dealing with a heavy dense fill even at the largest size. Density sits at 36, which I find keeps the petals from puckering on lighter cotton. Pair this with a light tearaway stabiliser and youre sorted for most woven fabrics.

There are 4 colours in this one, white for the petals, a warm gold for the centre, a mid-green stem, and a slightly deeper leaf accent. my main digitising tool handled the digitising, and the underlay on the petals runs directional so each one sits properly on the fabric without a topping. I dont usually bother with topping on a simple petal shape like this, and this one definitely doesnt need it. Skip the topping on plain cotton, it just adds unnecessary bulk.

Nine sizes from 3.5 climbing to a 7-in max are included. And the jump between sizes is even so you can pick exactly what fits your hoop without resizing yourself. I had a customer order this last march for a set of cotton kitchen towels, all different sizes across the set, worked out nicely because she could just pull the matching file without any guesswork. Stitch the 4 inch chest on a tea towel corner and the density at 36 means it wont distort the weave.

The files download instantly, all 8 formats included aswell. Holler if theres anything wrong with the file or the size isnt quite right for your project.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Left chest on linen blouseLeft chest on a linen blouse where low density keeps the petals from stiffening the fabric drape.
  • Kitchen tea towel corner motifCloth napkin set corner repeat, nine sizes means you can pick the exact file that matches each napkin size.
  • Tote bag front pocket accentKitchen tea towel hem where flour-sack cotton works clean and the tearaway releases without fighting the stitches.
  • Baby onesie chest placementBaby onesie chest at the small size, gentle 1,136-stitch count wont irritate through a thin layer.
  • Throw pillow centre medallionDecorative napkin border at a dinner table, the simple daisy reads as intentional at any viewing distance.
  • Garden apron bib decorationGarden apron bib, this one held up through a full season of washing for a customer who makes them for her market stall.
  • Cloth napkin set corner repeatThrow pillow medallion centred on a linen-blend cover, the petal direction catches light differently from each side of the room.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
