Cartoon mouse caught mid-dance, one paw stretched high in the air, the other tucked on the hip, weight up on his hind legs. Charcoal grey fur with directional stitching that shows the body shape, big pink-lined ears almost as large as his head, two cream front teeth peeking out under a tiny black smile. The eyes are the showstopping bit, bright blue with a single white highlight dot, lined with thick black lashes. Long pink segmented tail curls behind him like a lil ribbon.

And the energy on this one is wholesome, no doubt. So you get this happy giddy character that reads to kids and adults equally. But the technical bit is what matters, 13 colours total with three shades of grey building up the fur volume on the belly and tail base. Pink ears are filled in two tones, hot pink interior with a soft blush outer rim. The blue iris uses a real really vibrant cobalt with a navy shadow ring at the bottom of each eye, gives it that big-pupil cartoon look.

I been getting messages alot from teachers and daycare folks. One customer last spring stitched the 5x7 on twelve canvas pencil cases for her preschool class, sent me a photo of the kids holding em up. Stitch range goes from 24,972 on the smallest 3.34 inch size up to 65,314 on the 7.17 inch wide largest. Theres 9 sizes total, youre getting nine size options to choose from. Density is 1215 which is on the heavier side, so dont skimp on stabiliser.

Best fabrics are kids cotton tees, fleece blankets, canvas pencil pouches, soft minky for nursery items. Avoid jersey or stretchy tee shirts unless yer hooping a fusible cutaway underneath. Pop a topping film over fleece, the long fur stitches kinda just sink into the pile without it. Use a fresh 75/11 needle and run at medium speed. So if your machine drops a stitch on the long pink tail, slow it down further, the tail crosses over itself and rushed bobbins will skip.

Best results stitch this on lighter fabrics, white and cream and pastel blue let the charcoal fur and pink ears seriously pop. But on dark navy or black the cobalt eye loses contrast so swap that for a brighter sky blue if you go that route. And honestly thats the whole tip list, send a quick line if anything weird happens with the file and Ill fix it for ya.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
