Back in september a customer ordered a bunch of halloween designs for her kids school carnival tees, and this lil dancing skeleton was the one that got the most comments on the day. Its 2.37 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall, a good compact size that works on a left chest, a sleeve, or the centre of a kids trick-or-treat bag. Nine thousand, one hundred and nine stitches. One colour. Done.

Single-colour digitising at density 170 means you get crisp satin bone outlines without any colour registration headaches, no bobbin swaps, no misalignment stress. I digitised it in my software so the underlay is solid and the directional fill on the ribs prevents gapping even on looser weave fabric. Tear-away stabiliser works fine on woven cotton and canvas; go for a cutaway on stretchy knits so the figure stays sharp after washing. Pop the hoop tension up slightly if youre stitching on a thin cotton jersey.

Its honestly one of those versatile designs that goes on everything. Stitch it in white on a black tee for that classic halloween look, or use a lil orange thread on a natural canvas bag for something a bit more autumn-y. Use a bright colour on a dark sweatshirt for kids who want something bold but not scary. So many people are using it on trick-or-treat bags, halloween party napkin rings, and costume accessories that I keep re-downloading it to check the file myself. But the files are solid, 9109 stitches, tested clean on TAJIMA format. Ping me a chat if you run into any download trouble and Ill get back to you quickly.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Left chest halloween tee embroideryLeft chest on a kids halloween tee in black cotton, the compact 2.37-inch width leaves room for layering another design on the sleeve.
  • Kids trick-or-treat bag panelBeanie cuff placement at this size works really well, particularly in a bright orange thread against dark grey wool.
  • Halloween party napkin cornerHalloween napkin corner for a dinner party table, single colour means the stitching stays crisp even after heavy use and washing.
  • Costume accessory felt patchFelt patch for a costume belt or bag, hoop stiff felt and cut close after stitching, the silhouette holds its edge cleanly.
  • Sleeve placement on sweatshirtOxford shirt cuff for a halloween office look, white thread on a dark blue cuff is understated but everyone notices it.
  • Halloween canvas tote bagBeach blanket corner for a halloween gathering, orange thread on natural cotton reads as seasonal without being obvious.
  • Spooky bookmark or keychain patchGym duffel zip pocket panel for someone who wants a subtle halloween accent that works all autumn long, not just october 31st.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
