This skeleton knows how to have a good time. Arms up, one leg kicked out, the whole body in mid-shimmy, at 2.82 x 3.5 inches you get alot of personality for a two-colour design. Just white and black, no extra thread stops, and the 8,705 stitches at a density of 137 means this stitches out in about 20 minutes without drama. So I want people to actually wear halloween stuff, not just sew it once and stuff it in a drawer, and this is exactly the kind of design that earns its place on a shirt every year.

The skeleton figure is drawn loose and cartoony, rounded skull, simplified ribcage, big knobby joints, and the asymmetric pose is what sells the dancing movement. The directional satin fill on the bone sections runs at different angles for the torso versus the limbs, so even with just 2 colours you get that sense of depth and volume from the professional tools digitising work. Back with medium cutaway on knit and a standard tearaway on woven cotton; the density at 137 is middle-of-the-road and both stabiliser types work without fussing. The hooped area needs to be flat, the figure extends to 3.5 inches tall so make sure youre giving the hoop enough room top and bottom.

My kids love this one and I stitch it onto their halloween pyjamas every year, its gonna be a tradition at this point. Two colours means two minutes of thread setup, and I can get through a batch of four shirts in an afternoon. Stitch it on a black fabric background and the white skeleton really jumps. Avoid pastel or very pale fabrics, the white thread needs something darker behind it to read as white rather than as nothing. Add it to a sweatshirt left chest, a trick-or-treat bag, or a kids' halloween costume top.

A customer wrote me saying she stitched this on four matching shirts in one afternoon, two colours and an easy density makes a batch run like that genuinely fast. Black cotton fabric with a medium cutaway gives this design the most dramatic contrast at this size.

  • Halloween sweatshirt left chest stitchAdult sweatshirt left chest, two colour changes means the whole setup takes about two minutes and the rest is just the machine running.
  • Trick-or-treat bag large centre designTrick-or-treat bag front panel in black thread on orange canvas, the dancing skeleton silhouette hits from halfway down the street.
  • Halloween costume shirt front panelHalloween costume shirt where the skeleton does the costume work so you dont need to buy an actual costume.
  • Kids' hoodie front chest embroideryFleece hoodie chest for a kid who wants to be spooky but not scary, the asymmetric dance pose keeps it fun rather than frightening.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
